Referral program
Infobip is a fast-growing company with 1000+ engineers around the world. One of the ways we keep growing is by bringing in great people who fit our culture and values. A big part of that happens through referrals, because they help us find strong candidates and give our engineers a direct way to shape the teams they work with.
Fun fact: more than 30% of our Engineering hires came through referrals.
Great engineers know great engineers
Infobip has grown a lot over the years, but personal connections have always played an important role. A lot of that came from engineers already at Infobip sharing their experience, talking about what we were building, and helping other great engineers discover us.
That still matters today. If you know someone who is a great engineer and would fit well into the way we work, a referral is often one of the best ways to bring them into the process.
Why referrals work
You usually know other engineers. Maybe they are people you worked with before, studied with, or just stayed in touch with over the years. When you already know someone's way of thinking and working, it is often easier to see whether they could be a good match for Infobip.
You also tend to trust people more when the recommendation comes from someone you know. A conversation with a colleague or friend often gives you a much clearer picture than a general job ad ever could. And if they have first-hand experience with the company, that usually says more than a polished pitch ever will.
Referrals also help because actions matter. By the time you refer someone, you probably already have a good idea of how they work, how they communicate, and whether you would want to collaborate with them. That is useful for us too, because it helps us find people whose skills and values line up with the team and with Infobip.
In short, referrals help us connect with candidates who are strong technically and who would also enjoy working in the environment we have built.
Do I get a reward if I refer someone?
Yes, if the person you refer gets hired, you receive a reward. The amount depends on the role and can vary based on things like seniority, specific skills, or market conditions.
The reward can go up to 2000 EUR per position.
All the details about how referrals work, what counts as a valid referral, and how the reward is calculated are in our internal Employee Referral Handbook.
What happens after you refer someone?
Once you submit a referral, Talent Acquisition reviews the candidate's application and CV and gets in touch within 48 hours.
If the candidate looks like a match for the role, they move into the selection process, usually starting with a video call.
If the role is not the right fit, Talent Acquisition will try to see whether there is another opening that could suit the person better. If there is not, they will explain what we are looking for in that role and why it is not the right match at the moment.
You will also stay in the loop during the process. Talent Acquisition will keep you updated on where your referral is in the selection flow and share the final outcome. If the candidate does not move forward early in the process, you will also get feedback so you have a better picture of what worked and what did not.
You are not responsible for the final outcome
It is important to remember that a referral does not mean you are guaranteeing someone's performance in the selection process or long-term fit. You might know someone as a strong engineer, but not know whether they will enjoy the kind of environment we have. Or you might know they would fit well with our culture, but be unsure about their technical experience. That is completely normal.
Once you make a referral, we take over the process and responsibility for the final decision. Every referred candidate goes through the same selection steps as everyone else, because the goal is to make a fair and objective decision based on the role, the candidate, and how they would fit with our team and culture.
If your referral does not move forward, you will get feedback, and we will help you make even better referrals next time.
