Internship at Infobip

Internship at Infobip is one of the biggest and long-standing initiatives at Infobip, not just a small side activity. It is one of the main ways we bring in emerging talent, give students real experience, and grow future colleagues inside the company.

Today, the internship program runs under Infobip Ignite — our global internship brand. But the story started earlier. Since 2014, we have been investing in university partnerships and internships, beginning with Dev Campus in Vodnjan. Over time, the program evolved, went through virtual formats during the pandemic, and later returned as a live, global internship experience. That evolution matters, because it shows that we see internships as a long-term talent pipeline, not a temporary activity.

What the internship program looks like

Infobip Ignite is designed for graduate and final-year undergraduate students from both technical and business faculties. It is a real working experience, not a simulation.

We run internships live in our campuses and offices, and we offer opportunities across multiple departments, not only engineering. In fact, the program can span up to 15 departments and has been organized across 9 locations globally, covering EMEA, APAC, LATAM, and HQ.

That is intentional. We want interns to see how a global product company works in practice, and we want them to experience the breadth of roles that exist at Infobip.

How the journey works

The internship journey starts with a structured selection process. The exact flow depends on the role, but in general it includes an initial screening, an assignment or technical check, and a final interview.

Once interns join, they start with Orientation Week. This is their introduction to Infobip — our story, culture, products, organization, and the people they will work with. It is also a chance to connect with other interns and begin building relationships across teams and regions.

After that, interns join their team and work with a dedicated mentor. The mentor helps them settle in, understand the team, and grow through regular feedback and support. Mentorship is not a nice-to-have here — it is a core part of the program.

We also invest in an Upskilling Program, because internships are not only about technical learning. Interns work through modules that focus on skills such as communication, collaboration, feedback, presentation, resilience, and adaptability. The learning mix combines self-paced theory with in-person workshops, so interns can connect what they learn with real work situations.

The journey ends with a Graduation Ceremony, where interns present their projects, share what they learned, and celebrate the end of the program together with their mentors and teams. It is also the moment when we recognize that some interns will continue their journey with us full-time.

Why the program matters

Infobip Ignite is important for both the company and the people who take part in it.

For Infobip, the program helps us meet future talent early and build a strong pipeline. Around 85% of interns transition into full-time roles, which shows that the internship is often the beginning of a longer career here.

The program also supports our teams. Mentoring interns gives colleagues the chance to develop leadership and coaching skills, while working with young talent brings fresh energy, new ideas, and new perspectives into the company.

For interns, the value is clear: they get to work on real projects, learn from experienced people, and build confidence in a professional environment. They also receive practical support along the way, including a company laptop, dedicated mentor, learning access, and other program benefits.

How we grow the program

The internship program is strongly connected to our work with universities and student communities. We collaborate with universities through partnerships, practical courses, lectures, campus visits, and student events. In Croatia alone, we currently have over 30 partnership agreements, and yearly we support around 30 university-oriented events.

What the numbers say

The program has grown a lot over the years. Across recent cohorts, we have received thousands of applications, accepted hundreds of interns, involved 40+ mentors, and brought in 150+ Bippers across the organization to help run it.

We also measure the experience itself. Feedback from the program shows very high satisfaction from both interns and mentors — a good sign that the program is working not just as a recruitment channel, but as a meaningful development experience.

Why we keep investing in it

Internships are one of the clearest ways we turn potential into reality. They help us meet talent early, support learning, strengthen our employer brand, and bring new people into Infobip in a way that feels real and human.

Our internship program has also been recognized externally multiple times over the years, including awards such as Best Student Program and Best HR Practices, which speaks for itself.

Keep an eye out for future internships(opens in new tab).
