Developer events
At Infobip, we encourage our engineers to contribute back to the community through events — whether as speakers, attendees, or organisers — across internal conference and major external stages, including our very own Shift conference.
Organizing and speaking at developer events
Infobip engineers are actively encouraged to share their work publicly. This includes meetups, conferences, and panels. Speaking at external events is a recognized part of being part of the engineering department, not a side activity you do on your own time.
Support for public speaking runs through the Infobip Creators program, which provides resources, coaching, speaker preparation support, and promotional reach to help engineers build a credible public profile.
The program exists to lower the barrier to putting yourself out there, whether you're pitching your first CFP or joining a panel at a major conference.
If you have a talk idea or want to explore speaking opportunities, our Infobip DX team is your first point of contact.
Infobip Shift Conference
Shift(opens in new tab) is Infobip's owned developer conference and one of the largest tech conferences in Europe. Held for over a decade annually in Zadar, Croatia, it brings together thousands of developers from more than 600 companies across three days of talks, workshops, panels, and hands-on sessions.
Beyond Zadar, Shift has expanded globally, with editions in the US and Asia. This established it as a platform for the global developer community, and one that is bigger than our home region. For Infobip engineers, Shift is both a showcase and a community touchpoint: a place to see the best thinking from across the industry and, for those who apply to speak, a major stage to share your own work.
Infobip DevDays
DevDays is Infobip's internal developer conference, built by engineers, for engineers. It brings together Engineering, Product Development, and Security under one roof for a full day of talks, lightning sessions, and technical deep dives across multiple tracks. The latest edition in 2026, held in our Alpha Centauri Zagreb campus, featured over 40 sessions on topics from AI agents and LLM infrastructure to deployment pipelines, documentation, and engineering craft.
The conference runs several parallel tracks of various lengths, ranging from keynote talks to shorter, lightning talks. This means that there is room for both polished presentations and raw work-in-progress ideas. DevDays is one of the few moments in the year where the whole engineering organization (800 engineers!) is in the same room, which makes it as much about culture and connection as it is about content.
Infobip BipTalks
BipTalks is Infobip's engineering meetup series. These are smaller, city-level events that bring together internal engineers and the local developer community around a shared technical theme. Events have been held in Vodnjan, Zagreb, and Osijek, often in partnership with local tech organizations like Osijek Software City.
The format is intentionally intimate: a few talks, time for discussion, and a genuine opportunity to connect across teams and companies. Topics have ranged from Infobip's infrastructure at scale (handling 10+ billion messages a day) to MCP servers, AI-driven development, and engineering automation. BipTalks serves as the grassroots layer of Infobip's developer presence, showing up in the communities where engineers already are.
Shift CTO Dinners
The Shift CTO Dinner series is an invite-only format designed to connect Infobip's engineering leaders with senior technology leaders: CTOs, CPOs, Engineering and Product Directors, from the wider technology community.
The format is compact on purpose: 10–15 people, no slides, a single well-moderated topic, and enough time for real conversation. Recent dinners have been co-located with major conferences like CTO Craft in London and Toronto, where participants have worked through topics such as AI adoption strategy, engineering productivity, and platform engineering.
Participants have included CTOs from companies across fintech, SaaS, and platform engineering, and conversations often continue into ShiftMag articles, Shift speaker invitations, or longer-term partnerships.
Tech industry events and hackathons
Infobip selectively participates in external conferences and industry events where there is a clear alignment between the audience, the topic, and what we as an engineering organization can bring to the table.
The focus is on technology and product leadership at events like CTO Craft, LeadDev, Devoxx, WeAreDevelopers, and similar engineering conferences.
Especially in our HQ region of Southeastern Europe, we proactively work with engineering career events and hackathons, such as Sheep hackathons and FER Job Career Days.
From applying for talks to supporting the conferences via ShiftMag articles and interviews, we try to contribute to these crucial pillars of the tech industry beyond just having booths.
